Bernie is the Managing Director of VMG and has worked in financial services for over 20 years. Brian McIldoon

Brian is the VMG Credit Manager. Brian was a Senior Lending Manager with the Commonwealth Bank prior to joining the VMG and has over 25 years experience in banking and finance. He specialises in credit analysis and portfolio management in both commercial and consumer finance and has managed a lending portfolio of some $280 million. Specific experience includes:

Brian Neilson

Brian is our Finance Manager and joined us in 2007. He brings us a wealth of experience in the management of a variety of businesses. He has spent the last 25 years developing his skills through Public Accounting practice (Client Services and Taxation) and the management of a variety of businesses in both Victoria and NSW.

Brian is professionally qualified, holding a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting.

Allarco Cantone

Allarco is responsible for the preparation, assessment and submission of consumer and business loan applications along with developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Allarco was previously employed by Liberty Financial as a Credit Underwriter, where he was responsible for utilising a credit authority as well as managing the end-to-end process of all retail and commercial lending products. Prior to this he was at ANZ for over 18 years. During this time he worked as a Credit Assessment Officer in ANZ Global Cards and Mortgages and more recently as a Credit Manager in ANZ Private Bank for over 7 years where he utilised a credit authority for both retail and commercial lending.

Carolyn Monks

Carolyn has worked at VMG for over 10 years and is often the voice behind your first experience with VMG.  She combines quality customer service with an attention to detail that will smooth your experience and take any concerns out of your mortgage transaction with us.

Kevin has come to VMG with an extensive financial services background crossing a number of disciplines, having worked with the ATO, Westpac Bank and the National Australia Bank.  For over seven years, Kevin has employed those skills at VMG in the Credit Risk area.  Additionally, Kevin is integral to our dedicated Broker Services Unit where he provides a vital link in the credit application process.

Louise Raper

Louise is an integral member of our Customer Services team, also supporting Carolyn in her role.  Having been with VMG since 2009, Louise is in constant contact with clients on a daily basis and assists with all aspects of their requirements.

John brings exceptional local support to our NSW & ACT Brokers and welcomes your call.

Raffaele Giuliano

Raffaele has recently joined the team at VMG in the role of Senior Business Development Manager after having spent over the 35 years in the finance industry.  He brings significant expertise in many areas of finance, but he particularly enjoys the challenge of developing and leading a Sales and Marketing team.  Raff’s skills will be employed to best assist our referral sources and clients and we are excited to welcome him to the team.

Tony Bird

We are excited to welcome Tony Bird to the VMG team. Tony will be working alongside Allarco and Brian in a Credit Analyst role. He brings a wealth of experience to VMG having spent many years at a range of lending institutions, and most recently Heritage Bank.

Michelle Moncada

Michelle’s experience comes from varying roles such as Loans Officer, Mortgage Broker, BDM support, and also Team Leader/Manager roles with ING, Broker Support Hotline Team and an Express Credit Team. Her most recent experience was eight years with an award winning aggregator as member support, on boarding and assisting their members nationally. Michelle has always been regarded by her peers and brokers as genuinely passionate about seeing Brokers succeed in today’s industry. She appreciates it can be challenging for writers, and will work tirelessly to achieve positive outcomes for clients first and foremost.

Chris Mendonez

As Business Development Manager for Victoria, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge having spent the past 18 years in the Finance Industry with previous roles in Leadership, Business Banking, Financial Planning and Mortgager Brokering.  Throughout the years he has mentored many brokers to become successful brokers.  Working closely with the Eastern and South East areas of Victoria, Chris is very passionate on helping brokers to grow their business.

Support Staff

VMG’s dedicated team of support staff provide assistance in the areas of mortgage finance, administration, client communication, marketing, insurance and office management.
