Bernie is the Managing Director of VMG and has worked in financial services for over 30 years assisting countless clients in achieving their goal of home ownership. Bernie has significant experience in the areas of client management, systems development and service delivery, business relationship management, origination and sales, and institutional banking and finance.
Bernie has a Bachelor of Commerce and represents VMG as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, and the Mortgage Finance Association of Australia.
Glen joined in March 2020 and heads up our Distribution & Mortgage Operations at VMG – this encompasses the Sales Team (BDMs) and the Broker Support Unit. The whole team is on hand to provide superior customer service to our brokers and customers with a focus on common sense lending and speed to market.
Glen has over 30 years of banking experience having enjoyed a career with NAB and Bank of Melbourne in both Perth and Melbourne. His most recent role was as Executive Manager at Bank of Melbourne where he was responsible for leading a team of business bankers who looked after 50% of Bank of Melbourne’s business banking customer base.
George has over 19 years of experience in financial services crossing a number of disciplines having worked with Deloitte, Interstar Securities Pty Ltd, Challenger Financial Services Group and more recently, National Australia Bank.
He specialises in structured finance and his qualifications include a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and George is a member of the Certified Practising Accountants of Australia.
Brendan brings to VMG a wealth of experience in the finance industry having worked for CBA for over 33 years in addition to mortgage broking for 3 years.
Brendan has vast experience in Business Banking, structuring and credit roles and most recently as a Mortgage Broker handling consumer and commercial loan applications.
He loves nothing better than assisting clients and brokers in meeting their business goals.
John brings to VMG a wealth of experience from the banking and finance industry having been employed within the industry for over 30 years.
John has had many years of experience in all facets of lending, including commercial/corporate finance, trade finance and working capital. Prior to joining VMG in September 2018, John worked as a residential and commercial broker with a longstanding accounting/finance company. John holds both a Certificate IV and Diploma of Finance & Mortgage Broking.
Maryanne has worked in the finance industry for 35 years as a Senior Lending Specialist and a broker. She has a strong financial services background working predominantly at CBA, amongst other stints with Rams, Bank of Melbourne, and Bendigo Bank. Maryanne has a strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of lending scenarios and is outcome driven.
Steve Kent has been a successful finance broker with more than 10 years’ experience and a further 15 years of extensive lending & management experience with leading financial institutions. Steve will use his expertise in the broker industry to work closely with our valued broker partners and assist in both fostering new opportunities and client manage our valued brokers.
Brian has extensive experience in Banking & Finance for over 40 years. This includes various Business Development/Broker Relationship roles. Having worked directly with brokers and aggregators for many years, Brian understands the challenges brokers face in our ever-changing industry.
Brian has a hands-on approach to his role to ensure the best result for the customer and broker. Having also worked for NAB and ME Bank in Senior Retail, Sales and Credit roles, Brian is well positioned to understand the Broker platform.
David has more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry, first at NAB where he worked with a variety of SMEs in different locations and industries. For the last 20 years, he has been a broker dealing with a diverse customer base, both business and consumer, and working to find financial solutions that meet their needs. He enjoys helping brokers to support their clients and achieve a positive outcome for all the stakeholders.
Tammie has been in the banking and finance industry since 1989. Tammie brings extensive credit experience from sales, credit and settlement in both Consumer and Business lending. She has strong business acumen and loves working through scenarios. She has worked with Westpac, NAB, Suncorp and Teachers Mutual Bank as a Lender, Team Leader and Settlements Manager in First and Third Party. Tammie has worked with Brokers and direct clients managing customer expectations and delivering memorable results. She holds a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
Andrew has over 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry. As a former mortgage business owner, Andrew understands the importance of building relationships and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Being customer-centric and focused on creating positive outcomes for his clients was his constant focus. Andrew also has over 7 years of investment consulting across Southeast Asia, being fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Vietnamese. Andrew has cultivated a strong understanding of building and managing strong sustainable relationships with High-Net-Worth Investors from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Melanie has worked for Westpac, ANZ and Credit Union Australia throughout her career and has specialised in financial, residential, and business lending for over 24 years.
She has worked specifically in brokerage and lending, managing a large credit team and most recently in the business development space at an innovative fintech company.
Her passion is meeting brokers and understanding their business, as well as understanding the specific needs of their clients and providing tailored solutions to achieve their financial goals and objectives.
